WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT

Janey has outlived her mother and has no guidelines for her future. Janey's mother Annie was murdered when she was 47 and Janey was 21. This year, Janey has reached 47 and her daughter Ashley is 21.

Janey is not a natural home-maker nor a perfect mother or wife. She is no Domestic Goddess. She has improvised her way through domesticity just like her mother before her and just like her own stage shows and - guess what? - it has worked. Almost!

Just a few problems along the way: the marriage, the guns, the state of her daughter Ashley’s room and Janey’s inability to cook soup. She has sharp, jaw-dropping observations on homemaking and motherhood this year. But what will happen next?

Why does she have to clean table-tops compulsively? Who on earth cleans windows with vinegar and newspapers and why should they need to?

Cupcakes do not a marriage make. But what’s with the talking raccoons? Extraordinary home truths about family, friends and her lack of housewifery skills from a far-from ordinary woman next door.

Real life comedy from a real woman.
